Marshall Edwards Furniture Ltd supplies furniture to the retail and contract markets as well as interior designers and specifiers.
Based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, Marshall Edwards Furniture was set up in 2005 by Anna Edwards. Two years later, her brother Nick joined the company. The brother and sister partnership is core to the success of the business. Before setting up Marshall Edwards Furniture, Nick worked in the Retail side of the furniture Industry for 10 years so, has direct experience with retail customers and their demands! Anna managed customer services for a large foreign exchange company before area managing a chain of retail clothing stores. Bringing together their retail experience and years of experience ‘living’ within the furniture industry has meant a fresh approach to it. ‘We understand that our customers’ needs are driven in turn by public requirements. Having stock in the UK has been an incredible benefit to our customers as they can enjoy delivery within 7 days. Their father, David, has brought invaluable advice and experience within the far eastern markets.
Much of Marshall Edwards Furniture is supplied by long established relationships. Being predominantly a dining chair supplier meant that we were loosing out on the dining table and occasional furniture side of the business. Customers requested that a table range was introduced as the service and stock availability meant that their dining chairs were available to be delivered as much as 12 weeks before the dining tables purchased from another supplier which meant that they could not give the retail customer the level of service which we were giving them. The company has since introduced a successful range of solid oak dining tables, held in stock in the UK and have gone from strength to strength.
